Here at Macarthur Marble & Granite, we use many different stone suppliers, all with a large variety of colours to choose from! It is very important to take a look at the different option savailable to you and pick the right colour for you!
1) Comparing colours
When designing a kitchen (or a whole house!) there are a lot of important decisions to make. Your benchtop and/or splashback colour being one of them. We recommend picking your stone colour and your kitchen cabinet colour together, or bringing in samples of your kitchen cupboards when selecting your stone. This is to make sure you know the look of the colours together.
Hot tip: Ask us for a take home sample of your stone. That way you can compare to your kitchen, floors and walls!
2) Stone splashbacks
Stone splashbacks are becoming increasingly popular - and we can understand why! Two trends we often see is using the same stone on your tops & splashbacks - or to contrast the two areas by using different colours for each. We love both options - it all depends on the look you are going for & what you prefer.
Hot tip: Stone is a low maintenance option for splashbacks, having limited joins means it is very easy to wipe down, although it still requires care to stay in the best condition possible!
3) Knowing your options
We have a newly renovated showroom with over 230 colours to view, including plain whites, greys and blacks, small flecks, large flecks, little pattern - or alot, along with a massive variety of marble, granite and other natural stone look alikes. Ask one of our staff members about what options suit you best. With such a big variety of colours and price ranges, it is very important to consider all your options to ensure you get the result you are after :)
Hot tip: Stone splashbacks are often 20mm thick, but thinner options can be available!
